Bumble Bees!

First... don't forget to enter for the giveaway - only 4 days left!

I don't know about where you live but it is GORGEOUS outside today! Finally get to type this in my chaise with the window open, soft breeze and fresh lemonade (wish it were wine)! I love a bee theme for a party or baby shower - so here is my collection of my favorites so far... you could sprinkle these in with any garden party, as well...

What a small, whimsical touch! Add little bees to flowers or poms around the party - it won't be overwhelming but it will be a sweet detail! Source

Bee Pinata... you could take round pinata and cover design in yellow yarn and put a few bees on the "hive"... if you don't want to do a pinata, then you could cover balloons or styrofoam or something of the shape and hang around as decor.  Source

You might me tired of dying eggs... but how cute is this little craft! I would hang these guys everywhere! You could modify easily to be a butterfly too!  Source and tutorials

This honeycomb dessert would be a perfect fit! Source and recipe

Bumble bees with a piece of "honeycomb" chocolate in would be a fantastic dessert! Source

.... you could use these little edible sugar bees to top your cupcakes with! Super cute and super simple! Source

Beehive candles - either shaped in a beehive or just beeswax candles would make a great favor for your guests... Source

A beehive drink dispenser would cap off a buffet table! Found at Pier 1

Have to end on a sweet note! I love these bumble bee cookies! They are such a simple design, not over done... but so dang cute!  Source

Ladybugs

Every year around this time we get the brownish colored ladybugs in our master bathroom - I don't know how or why! I love a great lady bug or garden theme... here are some fun inspirations!

ps... Look out for end of next week - have a GREAT giveaway coming! You are going to love it!

I love the idea of doing different color ladybugs and not just red! I thought this napkin was so dang cute! You could make different sizes and colors of ladybugs and put them everywhere to match! Source

These ladybug treat pails would make the perfect favor! Source

Ladybug tuffles - YUM!! You could try and make these with cake balls dipped in chocolate - so dang cute! Source

These handcrafted, personalized note cards would make great thank you cards! Source

This is an art splashmat, but it would be a perfect backdrop to a dessert buffet, use as a tablecloth or put it under the table as a crumb catcher ;o)  Source

Have to have polka dot balloons! Source party - can buy here

These little nylon guys would really set the scene outside! Super cute! Source found via PisforParty

Have to end on my FAVORITE ladybug cupcakes I have seen! Super crazy adorable! Not sure if I could bite their heads off... but if that is the only way to the chocolate cake underneath... so be it! lol  Source unknown :o(

Garden Party! (Part 1)

We plant veggies every year and this year we are doing flowers and fruit from seed too - they are all sprouting up in the portable greenhouse and it is really lifting my spirits! It inspired today's post! Hope you enjoy the frosting for a Garden Theme Party!

I just love this whimsical table setting! These grass mats with flowers are so perfect for creating a garden party theme, even indoors! The pink lemonade & lime slices are a good idea to tuck away for a pink & green theme party, too! At 7 bucks a piece, not bad - but find artificial grass and glue on some fake flowers - I bet you would cut that per mat price way down!  Source found via PisforParty

I thought this garden playroom was great inspiration! If you are a bit crafty, you could cover the big buckets you can get from your local hardware store with batting and fabric and make a flower shape top for them to have all the kids sit on - and they would make great storage for you afterwards! Source and purchase

This is a sprinkler but if it wasn't nice enough outside to enjoy, I bet you could make a fun centerpiece with it! Source

I am a sucker for pink and brown - I love this sweet butterfly garden invite - perfect for a little girl's party!
