Mexican Fiesta Party Ideas and Inspiration!

A few people have written this week (including my sis - for a church function) looking for inspiration for a Mexican Fiesta night! Can't believe I haven't done a post on this because I practically survive off of Mexican food!

Great thing about this theme, you can't have to get all fancy with the servingware! Brown butcher paper over/in plates and bowls can let the color of the food shine! A fun chalkboard sign for each station helps direct guests.  Source

Create a taco or salsa and chip bar... you can write all the names right on black wrapping paper! Or stick with the rustic feel and line with kraft paper and write.  Source

Use peppers to create serving bowls! Source

Shop the "mexican" aisle for fun vintage inspired cans to use as vases or silverware holders! Source

Create lots of paper poms to add a festive flare to your tables! Source and tutorial

A fun cupcake idea... these cookie and gumdrop sombrero hat topped cupcakes with bright tags and frosting! Source and recipe

  1. Thanks a ton sis!!! I'm so going to do that black wrapping paper idea if I can find some. And if I have time the little sombreros on the cupcakes since I'm already making them for the honorie (he loves my cupcakes).

  2. I LOVE Mexican food too. In fact I just picked up some invites for a Fiesta from a store going out of business. Perfect timing with the ideas.
