Valentine's Day Party Ideas and Inspiration: Hearts

I am still daydreaming about what cute staged photo to take for my little guy's first valentine, so there will be no Valentine party here ;o) Shoot, I don't think my house has been presentable enough since he was born to have many people over at all lol

Well, I thought the turn of the new year would bring more peace and focus, but so far, not so much! I vowed to get back to blogging several times a week, but as you can see, not so much! It really is a habit, like anything else. Once you fall out of it, it's hard to get back on!  My little guy is 8M old today! you would think I would have it together by now ;o)

Valentine's Day ideas and inspiration

Still luv me?! ;o) WHEW thanks for being so understanding and keeping with during this rough ride of pregnancy! I am on the sleep in no longer intervals than 45 min kick :o( hope this wears of soon! Definitely haven't done much else but sleep, eat and go to work! But such a blessing to bring my first child into the world, so it will be all worth it!

Valentine's Day inspiration!

Since finding out we are having a boy, I have been focused on crazy end of season shopping for our little guy! Can you believe winter clothes are on clearance?! It's barely winter here! But since everything starts early... we better get on planning Valentine's Day!

How cute are these Valentine mailboxes?! You can find the mailboxes usually at Target this time of year and the bases can be candlesticks (think spray painted dollar store ones).  I love how she did them at different heights!  Source and tutorial

Valentine's day - last day!

You don't have much time left before you need to present something tomorrow! Here are some quick last minute ideas!

Dip strawberries in chocolate to make ladybugs! (p.s. I love the love stinks one!!!) Source and tutorial

Print some photos out tonight and adhere to craft paper and make quick and personal heart garland! Source and tutorial

Great last min  idea - use cookie cutter on watermelon to create hearts then slice up or oranges and put on toothpicks for an arrow! Source and tutorial

Valentine ideas/inspiration: More hearts!

Whew! This week has been a wild one already! Can't find too much time to sit down, but I wanted to leave you guys with a few more Valentine's Day ideas (and feel free to give me some for me/my hubby - boy am I behind! for shame!)

Love this idea! you could do any shape - just glue on the outside of any leftover jar, add some twine/ribbon and a candle! Source and tutorial

Forget chalky candy hearts... when you can have candy heart cheesecakes hello?!? How much is your mouth watering right now? You can customize to say whatever you want! Source and tutorial

Need a simple idea? Add food coloring to milk and freeze in heart tray (you can find silicon trays at dollar store!).  Source and tutorial

More Valentine's Day inspiration - more hearts!

Is anyone else having a warm winter week?! I am so excited! I keep thinking of all the money I'll save on my gas bill lol! More money for parties! WOOT!

If you haven't finished your Valentine plans, maybe one of these ideas will inspire you!

Dove hearts in the center of your favorite recipe - YUM! super sweet (and easy!) idea for any sweetie on your list! Source and recipe

Marbled red velvet cheesecake brownies - a mouthful of goodness! These are so beautiful by themselves, but add a lolli stick and paper to create arrows for an extra dab of Frosting! Source and recipe

Here's a fancy pants idea - bake a quick box mix of brownies or chocolate cake (shoot, make it yellow cake, add red food coloring!) then cool, cut out with heart cutter.  Melt some chocolates from the craft store, dip edges and then dip into crushed nuts! So cute no one will care you did a box mix ;o)   Source unknown :o(

Make a sweet breakfast to go box! Heart shaped muffins (I'm feeling another box mix, how about you guys?!), tea bags with cut out heart and some butter in a cute container - lovely! Source and recipe (heart shaped bakeware here)
