Outdoor Movie Night Ideas

Before the nights fall on too cold, why not pull out the quilts and have an Outdoor Movie Night gathering?! Super inexpensive, not fancy and tons of fun!

Pull together all the quilts, blankets, pillows and chairs you  can find - or says BYOB (own blanket! heehee).  Nothing has to be fancy or matching, it's all in comfort and fun! Source

If you do want to get a little fancy... you can make these letters out of cardboard! How fun to greet your guests! Source and tutorial

Movie Night Party Theme!

no shopping sat - gasp!... I'll let you know my secret reason why soon!... We have two couches that face each other in our family room, on family movie night, we push them together and create a massive sofa bed extravaganza! It's hard getting out of for more popcorn, but it's really fun!

Here are a few frosting tips for your next movie themed party!  p.s. check here for a previous movie post!

How stickin cute would this be! Wrap your dogs up in style! Source

Don't let your cheese go naked! lol... you could also dress up slices of cheesecake like that too! Source

Cut pineapple with a star cookie cutter or make star cookies to adorn your glasses... Source

Be fancy and serve popcorn in cones - just take clear plastic craft paper (you can find at craft stores with scrapbook paper) and roll into a cone - use double sided tape to hold close! Put them in wine glasses or a decorated box to help them stand up straight! Source

These super fun oscar cookies would be excellent place cards or favors! Source and tutorial

Movie Night!

Now that Halloween is over and we have just a few weeks to turn our crafty ways towards Thanksgiving, we all should fit in a MOVIE NIGHT! Invite a few friends or just snuggle up with your honey.  Below are a few ideas to make the evening extra special.  Don't forget you can branch out into the theme of the movie with cookies or food to compliment.  If you have the time, put together movie trivia or trivia about the movie's theme and have the prize be related somehow.  Also note that your local dollar store has so many great items for movie night like movie box candies and plastic popcorn holders.

Ok, I am a cupcake making fool, so I died when I saw these from MarthaStewart.com.  Super easy to make the "popcorn", just take mini-marshmallows and indent an "X" shape across them, everyone will be wowed!

This is soap! Yep, soap! This would be fantastic to have in your bathroom on movie night! Found on etsy: source

Take your popcorn favor bags to the next level by adding a film camera to each bag with a guest's name - no problems fighting over the popcorn bowl this way! Pic from: Dawnypoo.blogspot.com
