  17. Happy Birthday from one October baby to another!! I think my best birthday memory(ies) would have to be my birthday cakes. IN fact, I guess it's really more of a tradition. Since I was born on the 30th, I think every birthday cake I've had since then has had a pumpkin on it. Because of this....pumpkins have always made me smile :).

My parents let me have two parties- one with family and family friends with bbq from our favorite place, and one with all of my friends(ended up with around 100 kids) where my dad built a stage so that three of our group's bands could perform.

  40. My best birthday was my 35th! I had a surprise party and friends and family came in from out of state. My boyfriend at the time drove over an hour to pick up food from my favorite restaurant to then turn around and drive two in the opposite direction to the party location. It was so special the effort that was put in and the intimate nature of the party.

  56. Happy Birthday! I have a summer birthday and never had parties when I was a child but I have made up for it now as an adult. On my last birthday I was on a cruise ship in Iceland and the servers sang to me on two different nights and in two different lanuages. I love your blog and check it out often.

  57. Happy Birthday! My favorite birthday memory...was the day I was born. This is not necessarily a memory but what makes my birthdays special. I was born on the same day as my sister who was turning one. And to this day now as wives and mothers living in our own home we still come together to celebrate us! I think this is more magical and more special than twins. How the heck did my parents do it? Two babies back to back EXACTLY one year apart. This being only something God could have scripted. :)

  60. My best birthday EVER? This one is easy. It was my 40th birthday. This was the day I found out I was pregnant!!! You see...I couldn't get pregnant before then after several years of infertility treatments. We finally gave up and adopted 2 beautiful babies from Guatemala. We were happily living life with our son & daughter who are now 8 & 6. Then my birthday rolls around and I find out I'm pregnant. Our baby is now 2 1/2 yrs old and he is the joy of our family. Big brother & sister just adore him! We all do!!! That is my BEST birthday EVER!!! :)

We thought we were SO cool dancing to MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice, and Ace of Base. My birthday is in July so every September when we got back to school we would tell everyone how "cool" we were - staying up past MIDNIGHT, tie-dying shirts, and french braiding our hair. We really thought we were moving stars! I can only dream of feeling that innocent and creative again! :D
