Craft/Sewing Party Ideas and Inspiration

Working on redoing my craft room is making me dream of a craft/sewing party! How fun would it be to have everyone over for a night of crafts, food and drinks?! If only more of my friends crafted lol...

Here are some ideas to Frost your Sewing party... don't forget about older, but still fresh!, Frosting for a craft/sewing party here (link).

For a clever invite... wrap up information in a ball of yarn with a tag of "pull me" or "unravel me"!

How many fun ideas can you pick from this setup?! Dress manikins, embroidery hoops, tape measures.... lots to get you in the crafting mood! Source

You can also use embroidery hoops around your vases as centerpieces! Source

How stinkin' clever are these?! "Cross-stitched" cookies! p.s. am I the only one crushing on the idea of making these into Christmas tree ornaments?! It's Sept, I am allowed to think of Christmas, right?! ;o)   Source

Sewing Party Ideas/Inspiration

I have been getting back into sewing and I have to say I forgot how exciting fabric is! Anyone else have their heart race, even a little, walking into a fabric store?! say I am not alone!

Sewing themes are a great way to highlight someone's interest, but why not have a sewing theme as a girl's craft night?!  (and don't forget the older, yet still fresh!, frosting posted for sewing themes here)

Use traditional sewing forms as part of your displays - they are not only functional, but their sculptural nature bring great interest and texture! Source

Use a rustic box full of yarn to display names or even fun sewing sayings or terms.  Source

These buffet cards are so genius! Using buttons, spools and twine! Source

A great favor would be to make fabric card holders, maybe include a fabric or measuring guide! Source

Clever button cookies with toppers "I'm SEW Lucky you're my friend" - love it! Source

Sewing Theme party ideas/inspiration

I know we all know someone that loves to sew! I know I wish I was better (and more practiced!) Here are a few ways to Frost a sewing themed party....

How adorable would this be for the invite?!? Sew perfect! (heehee... had to say it once ;o)  Source

Use wooden spools as holders for a few beautiful stems of flowers... Source

Use balls of twine yarn to hold silverware or just a name card. Source

Use pin cushions as decorations or favors - you can find them in tons of shapes and patterns and even someone that doesn't sew can use them for push pins or safety pins, etc. Source
Super cute cupcakes! Not that crafty? Use mini wooden spools to top them instead - you never eat the toppers anyway ;o)  Source
