Vintage party ideas/inspiration

Vintage seems so hot this year, and I can't blame anyone - I HEART it! It's definitely giving me plenty of inspiration for my wedding!

Here are some ideas to inspire you to put some vintage Frosting on your next event! p.s. don't forget about older (but still fresh!) vintage ideas here.

Swoon.... So many great ideas here - furniture outside, old window, doilies (big this year!) - why not steal some of these elements even if you aren't having a vintage theme!?! Source

How about a delicious juxtaposition of burlap and lace for a banner?!? Cut triangles of burlap, glue doily to back - stencil & some paint - ta-da! Source

Simple produce crates become suddenly vintage with just the addition of a doily! I am thinking this would look so sweet at a christening too! Source

Another way to turn ordinary vintage... a piece of lace and a tie! Source

Vintage party ideas/inspiration

I am so loving how hot vintage details are this year already! You don't have to just save them for grownup parties, think of ways to make a baby shower or little girl's party extra special with vintage details!

Using DOLLAR! store beads and spray, this chandelier will add a little flair to any party! Source and tutorial

Staying on the inexpensive route... this vintage light socket for a candle holder is just genius! I love the little tuck of antiqued book paper! Source and tutorial

This idea can be adapted for any party! Well, first I get weak for burlap, cotton and vintage! swoon! ... but more importantly, Look how great the table looks with visual interest down that low! Don't forget the front of your tables people! Source

How beautiful is this?!? I love the the grapes with the white roses! I have a tiered tray like that! hmmmm... might just have to steal! Source

Vintage Party Frosting!

I have a secret love for vintage - I am more cottage style in my home, but there is a part of me that wants one room to be french country/vintage/girly - I'm complex, ok?!? lol

here are some ideas to add some vintage inspired frosting to your next event!

ahhh swoon... how beautiful!?! Soft pastels, vintage linens, lots of textures and interest - this would even make the perfect baby shower! Source

Love the trend of using indoor furniture outside! How about an old dress with layers of fabric, flowers, tea cups and goodies?!? Source found via kinsereventcompany blog

Create vintage style by adding vintage looking buttons to a vase filled with muted colored flowers - just gorgeous! Use the buttons like confetti on the table, string them into garland, glue them onto serving plates, etc. Source

Use teacups filled with fresh flowers to create placecards or bday messages around the party space! Add peal or button details to a paper flag to get an extra dab of vintage frosting! Source and tutorial

(borrowed from a previous post) I LOVE these lace detailed bottles! Lace is a great way to bring in an elegant/vintage feel! Use doilies, lace or stencils and paint to create a pattern on just about anything! Source

Rustic inspired party ideas!

So those new to the Frosted Family... I am getting married next year! (yippee!) ... our theme is fall/nature/rustic inspired, so until we get married, I will be showcasing some of our ideas from our inspiration file in hopes that you can find a way to incorporate into your next event!

I so want to figure out a way to incorporate this idea! You could use them for table setting, buffet listing, bday girl's favorite things, etc - get creative! Best part, wipe of the writing afterwards and use it for something else! Source

Moss covered risers are perfect for a nature, fairy, woodland or dirt bike/atv/camping themed party! Keep an eye out, you might just see these soon ;o)  Source

I love the idea of draping fabric (even burlap! can look elegant!) on rented chairs to add a bit of interest and texture - don't hesitate to do for even those dusty folding chairs I know we all have in the garage! Look for fabric clearance and you can do for not much money at all! Use pinking shears and you can even skip the sewing ;o)  Source unknown

I am SO in love with this sign! Just on a side of a piece of wood, but can you say fantastic?!? Source
