Fairy Party Inspiration!

I hate to jump on the fairy party wagon this week, but they are just too cute!

How picture perfect is this party?!? Shabby chic feel fairy party! I love all the soft colors and use of vintage items - genius! I only wish I had at least one tree in my backyard lol! Source

This fairy "house" centerpiece is so fantastic! Truly magical party! Source

Don't worry if you have to have the party inside! Create a magical place using some fishing string and tulle! I so want this in my little girl's (hoping to have a girl one day!) bedroom! Source
You could set up the party table with a "fairy house" for each little guest to decorate! I LOVE when I see art activities at parties! Source found via simplycreativeinsanity

Create little toadstools for all the little fairies to sit on!  Use thick branches, screw on wooden top, add batting and staple fabric - add a wooden base to stabilize if needed - cover in astro turf... ta-da!... and Don't forget the tutus! (this pic just makes me smile - how cute is she?!?) Source

How stinkin' cute are these fairy cookies?!? LOVE them! I love how they styled the serving container (hint: use floral foam or styrofoam in any container, cover and you have an instant lolli holder!) Source and tutorial

Brunch!

I LOVE brunches! - for more reasons than just mimosas (though that is the most important rofl)... they are convenient for most folks schedules, they are easy on the wallet and you have the rest of the day to clean up and get life back to normal!

In case you missed it.... some stored frosting for brunches

First, can't ignore the fantastic use of bold colors and shapes on the handmade background! But look center... hello! Cinnamon roll tower - YUM! Source

Simple parfaits look AMAZING in the right glass! You could even add a coordinating ribbon or cute flag noting the flavors! Source and recipe

Can you say crepe full of goodness!?! I am sure these omelet filled crepes taste just as good as they look! Fill them with something savory and serve as an appetizer at your next part, too! Source and recipe

Another nested egg idea are these sunny side toast munchies! Remove crust from the bread, scrunch to fit in your muffin pan, crack egg and bake! Add a little cheese and pepper and cute little item to add to your brunch buffet! Source

Ummmm... hello?!? can't leave you without a mimosa! Don't forget to style your glasses! Simple fruit or a flower goes a long way! Yum! Source and recipe

Ever since last Halloween when my in laws bought me a huge, great over the top cupcake holder- I now plan everything around cupcakes for it and decorating it as well! :) I am slightly obsessed with all things cupcake at the moment! My mind is so on Halloween!!!

So Coons Family please contact me!

Beach party theme!

We have been taking my (future) stepson to the beach lately - fun AND basically free ;o)  I am not too much of a beach person, but I have to admit, when evening comes in and the temp cools off, I am in love! So all this beach stuff inspired today's post!

Beach themes are great, but sometimes you want a grown-up version! Here are a few ideas to Frost your next beach party!

Start with invites, thank you notes or favor tags with a starfish - classic and beautiful - definitely fits the mood! Source (p.s. ask her for what custom items she can do - she's amazing!)

Keep the color pallet neutral with just small pops of color.  This starfish garland over burlap is just the right touch of beach! Source

Use inexpensive cardboard or wooden letters from your local craft store, cover in glue, dip in sand and you have instant theme letters! Source found via divinepartyconcepts.com

Little details go a long way! Take drinking glasses, dollar store candles, a little twine and glue on a starfish! Just be careful to not have anything too close to the flame! Not a firemen party! lol  Source

Wrap rope around your napkins and glue on a few shells - perfect napkin rings! And you won't feel guilty on what you spent when you don't use them again ;o)  Source and tutorial

This candy "sea glass" is the perfect favor for your party! Finish off with a little rattan or rope instead to tie in the elements above. Source found makemerryevents

You know I have to leave you on a sweet note! Crushed graham crackers and frosting piped into a starfish shape will be a crowd pleasure! Source

Party Dessert Ideas!

First, don't forget to enter this week's contest!!!

Since I may or may not have just shoved a chocolate doughnut down my throat after dunking in milk... I figured I would continue the indulgence and post some chocolate dessert ideas for any party! (check out past dessert ideas, too!)

How fantastic do these banana bites look!?! Great way to offer a variety of options! Dip slices of bananas in chocolate and then get creative! Crushed oreos, nuts, coconut, etc.  yum! Source

Why not go with a conversation piece!?! I LOVE sweet and salty together - so why not this chocolate cupcake with a chocolate covered potato chip?!? The chips would look beautiful just by themselves! Source

I heart these! What a great take on rice crispy pops! She put the chocolate in the middle like a sandwich instead of dipping and how fantastic are the little flags on the popsicle sticks?!? Source

How adorable are these little chocolate covered in chocolate in individual little cardboard covers?!? I so want to make a thousand of these! They would be great for parties, but also as a hostess gift! Source

Don't forget how pieces of chocolate added to a dessert can take it from simple to fabulous! Just make a design on wax paper, put in freezer - and va-la! Try printing out a shape on the computer and putting wax paper over and just trace - so easy! Source

Luau Theme

(as requested) A luau is always a great "go-to" theme for summer parties!

I love this table because it shows how a few well placed, simple pieces of palm and netting really help say "luau" without over doing it! You don't have to put a tiki and a lei on everything! Source

Create these fun topiaries with paper parasols to add a fun details! Source and tutorial

You have to have coconuts! How about doing a signature drink served in half coconuts! Source and recipe  You could pour candle wax in and make them into candles too!

Another simple touch - have a basket full of flip flops for your guests! Another basket with towels for wet activities and another basket of light blankets for the late evening would not only look great, but serve your guests well! Source

You know I am going to find a way to incorporate cupcakes! lol These hibiscus flower topped cupcakes are beautiful! Definitely time consuming, but try doing just a handful among plain ones - same wow factor and WAY less time! Source and tutorial
