Appetizers: Fancy Fancy!

Hey everyone!!! Thanks for being so supportive while I work on our wedding!!! ONE MONTH TO GO!!! AGH!!!

...as I scarf down some food before I go to the acupuncturist tonight, I leave you with some appetizers that look so darn fancy - definitely raise the eye candy value of any party buffet!


YUM! Look at this prosciutto wrapped asparagus! Count me in!!! though in fairness, I will each prosciutto wrapped anything heehee  Source

Miscellaneous Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I hope you guys got less mosquito bites than I did! I tried to get as much wedding stuff done between cleaning and spending my life on Pinterest lol!


How beautiful are these baby's breath flower balls?!? I am definitely doing a few for the wedding! These would be great for a baby shower or garden party or any girlie party for that matter! Source

Pick up clear ornaments and fill them for a party based on theme (glitter, candy, feathers, toys, etc) and hang over your space... then reuse them in house and change with the seasons/holidays! Source unknown

Antiquing paper would be a great idea for an antique/vintage or pirate/treasure hunt party! Source and tutorial

I had to throw something weird in the mix ;o) Eye ball making! These seem so dang simple! Make a big batch and store them for Monster parties, Halloween, etc. Source and tutorial

Shopping Saturday...errrr ummm posted Sunday ;o)

OMG Can I tell you how much time I have &#@*! spent at JoAnn Fabrics this weekend?! grrrr... don't you hate when you go to the same store in 2 locations AND have nothing but trouble?! Dang slow fabric cutters - chop chop people! Until the wedding is done (10/30) my posting is definitely gonna be impacted - sorry guys! Trying to juggle a lot!

Bird baby shower/party ideas/inspiration

It's been a while since I forced my love of birds on you guys ;o)  If you want to peek at some older, but still fresh!, Frosting for a bird theme - peek here

Love this little setup! Incorporate natural elements with your birds to really round out the theme.  If you use the natural tones of browns and greens, they lend a great palate to add another color for a pop! Source

LOVE this idea! Bendy tree branches to serve up mini cupcakes!!! Super fun! Source and tutorial

You could do this for any theme... stamped bird around a toothpick adds a little touch of Frosting for your theme... Source

Chocolate molds are fun... but displayed like this is GENIUS! Think of other themes you could use molds for! Use luster dust to give the chocolate a little extra Frosting! Source

Woodland - for girls! party ideas/inspiration

I don't know about you guys but WOOT! the weather has finally changed! It is feeling like Fall here tonight and I LOVE LOVE it! Can't wait to curl up with a book and a quilt!

Kraft paper details

I so was planning on baking tonight, but a late night at work, it's all about veggin now! ...there is always tomorrow ;o)

Here are a few ways to Frost your next event with Kraft paper/paper bags...

Stamp on craft paper tags and attach with bakers twine to create a kitschy touch! Source

Cut circle and write ingredients for a great dressed up homemade feel! Source

Use a punch and a tag to turn a simple paper bag into a fantastic gift bag! Source

Use a large frame and some ribbon to hang decorated paper bags for a favor center! Source
