my shopping saturday!

UGH! we spend 5 hours in the car dealership today so I don't have shopping Saturday done!  I'll be back tomorrow with our regular shopping Saturday.

I went from this car...  (Kelsey, girl I mentor, acting like she's old enough to drive lol)

...to responsible grown-up four door preparing for family - it had to happen sometime ;o) (excuse the garage pic it's too dark here to take a pic outside!)

Why does buying a new car have to be soooooo long AND PAINFUL!!?!?!?!

hugs!

More Halloween Party Inspiration

Always love thinking about Halloween! Here are a few more ways to Frost your Halloween party this year!  p.s. did you check out everyone's party links?

I love this setup! Sometimes you forget to think about lanterns for holiday decorating, but look at the "boo!" so cute! And the spiders on the drink bowl - so clever! Source

Bats on finials would be a great decorations and you could let your guests take one home! I think they would be easy to make - trip to the hardware store, glue and some bats - you could pull this off! Source

I love fun new approaches to decorating pumpkins - this might be one of my favs! Almost 200 bucks! But you could do the same with some some supplies from the craft store! Source

Awesome dessert for your party! Never go wrong with cheesecake, right?!? Super simple to create the bats and impress your guests! Source and recipe

Kind of digging on the color themed parties lately... here is some inspiration for a purple theme... change the color and Frost any event!

Kids beachy party inspiration

One of our favorite moments on vacation was spending time on the Oregon beaches! Here are a few ideas to Frost your end of the season beach party!

A bit nautical, but I love the colors and HAD to share the swim trunk garland - how adorable?!?  I'd love to see a larger one of these hanging over the entire party space! Source

I love this little favor purse! If you aren't too crafty, there are tons of stickers and cutouts you can buy at the craft stores now.  If the kids are old enough, you can have them decorate the bags! Source

If you are actually at the beach, have the kids collect shells in cute bags - if you are home, why not set up a shell hunt (like an Easter egg hunt!)  Source

Customized baskets might be too pricey to do for every kid - but you could do more simple baskets full of beach themed items.  Source: Book: Cookie Swap: Creative Treats to Share Throughout the Year (Paperback)

Have you seen these plates? Super cute and perfect for a beach theme! I might even start off my morning a little better with breakfast on a sun plate! You could even use them as decorations too! Source

Sand dollar cookies would a simple cookie anyone could pull off! Little almond slices pushed in your favorite cookie recipe (or store bought refrigerated dough wink wink!) Source and tutorial
