Memorial Day Party!
I think before we get into the fun, we should all remember what Memorial Day is.... beyond a day off of work and stuffing our faces with fantastic BBQ!....
Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. men and women who died while in the military service. First enacted to honor Union soldiers of the American Civil War (it is celebrated near the day of reunification after the Civil War), it was expanded after World War I. (wikipedia.org)
You all must know by now my strong obsession with kabobs! I love how they put some fun touches on the ends! Just use a round hole punch and glue two circles together on the end! Source
Pop Rock cookies! How silly would these be (you know, the candy that "pops/crackles" in your mouth when you eat it? Cookie edges are covered in pop rock and sprinkles... yum! Source and tutorial
I've seen a lot of dipped strawberries, but the ones done as a loose interpretation of a flag are my favs! (thanks Brittanie for the find!) Source
And lastly, pay tribute to those who have and do serve with these cookies! yum! Source and tutorial
You could also incorporate some of the BBQ/Cookout Party ideas!

Baseball Party Theme!
We finally cooked out for the first time this year! (we needed a new grill!) Hot dogs always make me think of baseball games, that and beer lol. Here are a few ideas to frost your next baseball themed party!
Fill trays up like they do at a baseball game. This is filled with fun baseball shaped snacks, but you could do any snack really! Put up signs that say "get your hotdogs!" "get your peanuts", etc. Source
Turn a simple lazy susan into a fun serving baseball! (I know Ikea has them pretty cheap!) When you are done with the party, paint it and reuse - you could even glue some craft buckets to it and use it in the playroom or craft room! You could also use baseball diamonds for serving plates Source and tutorial
Blow-up stadium cooler would be adorable to house cold drinks! Source
These baseball inspired bracelets would be a great party favor! You could also make them to wrap around bottles, containers, use them to hang banner letters from, edge the table with, use as closures for favor bags - possibilities are endless! ...well, they end with how much time you want to spend making them lol! Source and tutorial
Decorate the cupcakes with his favorite team! Make little jerseys that have his name on it! or just use some baseball printed ribbon to create topper flags! Source found via simplystunningideas

Arrrrg! A Pirate Party Theme!
I have been seeing some really cute pirate parties popping up! I think boys would have so much fun pretending to be a pirate! Look here for past frosting for a pirate party!
Turn your table into a wild treasure filled pirate feast! Stuff a treasure chest full of skulls and coins - add a fishing net to the table and use goblets and red and white striped napkins to cap off the theme! Source found via settingthemoodwithjamee
Make a pirate stash for each child! Source and tutorial
Pirate booty in a bottle favors! Give each kid an assortment of pirate booty and let them make their own "pirate ocean"! Source and tutorial
My favorite find so far - so genius! Why you say? That is an apple pie!!! I am trying to think of what other shapes I can make a pie into now! Source and tutorial found via ediblecrafts
I know this is a simple detail, but I just love these pirate map napkins! Source
Make these adorable pirate cookie pops! OR better yet, make the pops and let the kids decorate them! Source found via partywishesscv
Lastly, my icing skills might not be up to par, but I think I would try! These pirate ship cookies would be so adorable! Source found sweetcuddlecakes

Baby Boy Shower - My sis did!
Crafting and parties runs in the family! .... and so does non-professional photo taking rofl..... Here are some of the great details my sis did for her bff's baby shower... didn't she do a fantastic job?!? The style of Frost Me! is not to post one whole party, but it's my sis, so I'm breaking the rules ;o)
Here are the custom invites she designed and made for the shower....
She made all of these booties, topiary and favor bags!
How fantastic did she do?!? Gumballs, paper flowers and green skittles in the pot - how genius!

She made the favor bags with the sonogram....
She added details at the bottom of an inexpensive tablecloth to match the invites!
Cute onesie banner.....
A block box she made to put guesses for a game in....
Lastly.... every baby shower needs a great diaper cake!

Parisian Pink Poodle Party Theme
Today's post is frosting for a little girl's Parisian Pink Poodle theme....
Start the theme with a fancy stylized invite to set the ooh la la tone of the party! Source
As the activity, why not have the girls stuff their own pink poodle! Source... and then....
Let them dress them up! Fancy up an inexpensive clothes rack with feather boas and let the girls pick an outfit for their new puppy! Source
Use over-sized decals on your walls to transform your space! Decals are great these days - so many to choose from and most are removable - so when the party is over, your dining room is not permanently Parisian (unless you want it to be ;o) Source
Setup the table with lots of pink and black! Feather boas and flowers, Eiffel towers
and fancy plates! Source
Why not create some whimsical topiary using the feather boas?!? Source
This marshmallow topped cake would be an adorable choice! Source
