St Patrick's Day party ideas and inspiration

My little guy is 9M already! He definitely hasn't been into holidays yet, but oh just wait until he is older! I hope I always stay "over the top" with my ideas! You got to have fun with it!

Have you made your plans for St Patty's yet?  Here are a few things that might inspire you, even if it's just for creating fun favors for school or work! ...and don't forget about older, but still fresh!, Frosting for your St Patty's celebration here (link)

I've seen these rainbow twizzlers used before, but not like this! How clever are these kabobs?!  Source and tutorial  (buy kabobs here - link)

Now I am a bit scared of Macarons, I have to admit... but these are so darling, I might just have to try! If we chicken out, we could do vanilla oreos ;o)  Dip in chocolate, sprinkles and add a shamrock sprinkle (by here - link). Source and tutorial

Watercolors & a rolo with a tag of "your a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow" would be such a fun favor! Source and tutorial

St. Patrick's Day - Cookies!

We are hunkering down tonight - the wind is like a hurricane here! What is with all the wind all the time now?! We are supposed to get snow tonight (ugh!)...hoping Spring starts showing itself soon! I need some cheer around here!

I always love the look of part dipped cookies... these Irish Cream dipped shamrocks don't disappoint! These would be so pretty done up in a box and taken to work, given to the teachers or coaches! Source and recipe

Double up your cookies! Do a rainbow base and sprinkle shamrock top! Just use a little icing to "glue" them together! You can even get the kids in on this one to decorate their own! Source and tutorial

St. Patrick's Day celebrations aren't just about the kids! Let the adults have some fun too!

What's an Irish theme without Irish coffee? These are served up so fun in shamrock glasses with a fresh clover.  Source and recipe

Guinness definitely needs to make an appearance! Why not give it a twist and serve as a float?! Source and recipe

Need something a little stronger? These green grey goose cocktails might do the trick! Source and recipe

Need to get in some food to help balance all that above! lol... Corned beef and cabbage wraps would be so appropriate...and delicious! Source and recipe

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Happy St. Patty's day! It's supposed to be so nice today so we are off to the park - woot! Update from my baking disaster - I did feel guilty, woke up early and made Irish potatoes (candy)!

Here are some last min ideas to celebrate today...

Super quick favor you can pull together if you are headed over someone's place later! Single serve Lucky Charms with lots of extra "Frosting"! Source

You don't have to have them come out this nice! Just put out icing and let the kids go to town! Great activity for this evening! Source and tutorial

If you can't convince yourself to take on that project... just whip out a yellow cake box mix, food coloring and have the kids help make rainbow cakes in mason jars! Source and tutorial
