Spring party inspiration: Flowers

It was almost 60 here today (even if it only last an hour or two lol!) but it has me having such Spring fever! The trees are starting to bud up for growth so I know it won't be long! Definitely has me thinking about flowers and the garden and fresh veggies! Hurry Spring!

Here are a few Flower ideas to stash away for your upcoming Spring events:

We'll go through a couple levels of craftiness today... anyone can attempt this - store bought or boxed made cupcakes can win over the crowd with slices of marshmallow attached to a dum-dum pop! Source and tutorial

Two cookie cutters (Flower and mini circle) you can create these adorable fruit flowers! If you want an extra dab of Frosting, add a bow or paper flag to coordinate with your event! Source (lollipop sticks here)

Using a small paring knife, turn carrot and zucchini or cucumber slices into mini flowers! Source and tutorial

If you are feeling super adventurous... attempt these beautiful cake pops! Source and tutorial

Garden Party! (Part 1)

We plant veggies every year and this year we are doing flowers and fruit from seed too - they are all sprouting up in the portable greenhouse and it is really lifting my spirits! It inspired today's post! Hope you enjoy the frosting for a Garden Theme Party!

I just love this whimsical table setting! These grass mats with flowers are so perfect for creating a garden party theme, even indoors! The pink lemonade & lime slices are a good idea to tuck away for a pink & green theme party, too! At 7 bucks a piece, not bad - but find artificial grass and glue on some fake flowers - I bet you would cut that per mat price way down!  Source found via PisforParty

I thought this garden playroom was great inspiration! If you are a bit crafty, you could cover the big buckets you can get from your local hardware store with batting and fabric and make a flower shape top for them to have all the kids sit on - and they would make great storage for you afterwards! This is a sprinkler but if it wasn't nice enough outside to enjoy, I bet you could make a fun centerpiece with it! Source

I am a sucker for pink and brown - I love this sweet butterfly garden invite - perfect for a little girl's party!
