Gender Reveal Baby Shower: What will it Bee?

First, to all my friends and followers observing Rosh Hashanah, I hope you have a beautiful day with your family and friends.  Second, I haven't been able to do a lot of posts lately due to some really secret and fun things going on! I hope to be able to share one of the things by month's end...stay tuned!

...I saw the chicken wire banner post on Be Different, Act Normal over the weekend and it screamed honeycomb to me - so I thought, how perfect to incorporate it with a "what will it bee" shower!

What will it bee theme is great because it's yellows and nature inspired colors which are totally gender neutral... giving no clues away!!! Source

Quench your guests thirst with some fun honey inspired drinks! Honey drizzle sticks give that extra Frosted touch! Source

Bumble Bee baby shower!

It felt almost like summer here today! It was SOOO warm! So that and a fun note from a Frosted sister (*wink*) led me to today's post!

Don't forget about older, but still fresh!, Frosting for a Bee theme here!

Love this setup! The bright yellow cupcake stands, beehive cake and lots of white to let it all shine! Source

Take advantage of Spring/Easter colored food out right now! Bottle up some yellow colored oreos in a jar wrapped with a bold yellow stripe and topped off with a bee! Trick - if you can't find oreos to match your theme, add a little icing (or even water) around the cream and sprinkle color coordinated sprinkles on! Source

Pick up some glass jars at local craft store and fill with local honey and add a personal tag for your favors! Not only will they look beautiful out, edible gifts (in my opinion) are the best! Source

Marshmallows, chocolate and sprinkles make up these adorable Bee pops! I think you can get yellow marshmallows if you are doing a brown/yellow theme.   Use melted chocolate on wax paper (draw template on backside if you need it) to create wings, dip both sides of marshmallow in chocolate and add sprinkles before drying.  Insert wings and a lolli stick - ta-da! Bumble Bees!

I don't know about where you live but it is GORGEOUS outside today! Finally get to type this in my chaise with the window open, soft breeze and fresh lemonade (wish it were wine)! I love a bee theme for a party or baby shower - so here is my collection of my favorites so far... you could sprinkle these in with any garden party, as well...

What a small, whimsical touch! Add little bees to flowers or poms around the party - it won't be overwhelming but it will be a sweet detail! Source

 Bee Pinata... you could take round pinata and cover design in yellow yarn and put a few bees on the "hive"... if you don't want to do a pinata, then you could cover balloons or styrofoam or something of the shape and hang around as decor.  Source

You might me tired of dying eggs... but how cute is this little craft! I would hang these guys everywhere! You could modify easily to be a butterfly too!  Source and tutorials

Bumble bees with a piece of "honeycomb" chocolate in would be a fantastic dessert! Source

Nature Inspired...

I am a huge fan of using elements from NATURE in my home and anytime I can in entertaining.  I hope that soon, I can plan some of these elements into my wedding (hint hint - ring please! ;o)  Below are some I love, enjoy!

Simple cone full of nuts because beautiful with adding a silk ribbon.  The juxtaposition of the earthy colors and textures against the shine and starkness of the white really makes a fantastic favor! Source: bride and bloom magazine

I found these chestnut hulls to be incredibly beautiful! I never knew that is what they looked like lol! I think sprinkled in an arrangement or tablescape would be so interesting! (and you get to roast all of them after the party lol)  (Not sure the source of the photo, sorry! Let me know if you do!)

These natural beeswax candles have great texture and color! Add a little wrapping and they become an elegant (and useful!) favor for a nature inspired wedding, bee theme baby shower or just about any elegant event! Source: Martha Stewart Weddings
