Icecream party ideas and inspiration

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Baby Elias has been pretty fussy the past few days :( so life hasn't existed much for me, but hopefully just a phase and I'll be more productive this week (wishful thinking!). I did have company this weekend so that was great to get some adult interaction!

If it's been as warm near you as here, you are probably cooling down with summer treats...which is inspiring today's post to hold an icecream party/social! Also, don't forget about older, but still fresh!, Frosting for an icecream theme here (link)

How fun are these icecream social invites?! They also would make great favor bags! Source

Use felt or fun fabrics to create an icecream scoop banner! Outline each scoop with glue/glitter.  Source

You could also use real cones and stryofoam balls wrapped in yarn to create fun icecream cones! These would make cute placesettings, too! Source and tutorial

Ice Cream Social Party Ideas/Inspiration

Today's post is inspired by my fabulous cube neighbors at work that bring us in Indian icecream - my favorite is this one with nuts and raisins - how great of neighbors are they?! AND on Friday at our Kentucky Derby party they brought in a Mr. Softie (soft serve) icecream truck YUM!!! You KNOW I rocked the chocolate with chocolate sprinkles!

...So here are some ideas to Frost your Ice Cream Social! Don't forget older, but still fresh!, Frosting for an ice cream theme (here)

How fun is this colorful setup?! Shows how just a few simple elements can make a huge impact! Source

Add a vintage flair by displaying cones in glass jars! Source

Look at this counter detail! Definitely puts you in a ice cream shop mood! If you don't want to get into fabric, I bet it would look adorable even just in felt or craft paper cutouts! Source

These are SUCH clever cake pops!!! Cake pop on cut down ice cream cones! I so need to put these on a to do list! Source

Ice cream Theme!

I can't believe there are 2 containers of ice cream that have survived over 2 weeks now in the freezer! I love the idea of an ice cream bar at any party - great for work parties, too! Or you could do a whole party theme around ice cream! Here are a few dabs of frosting for your next party!

How insanely fun does this ice cream themed tablescape look?!? One of the best ideas is the way they made the tablecloth look like ice cream drips! You could even do this with a cheap vinyl table cloth! And why not glue on some "jimmies" too! Source

You could do this popsicle display on a smaller scale at your next party - use tiered spice racks with ice underneath and create the same look! .... one of each please! Source found via imprintables blog

Every ice cream bar deserves a great assortment of toppings! These divided DIY paper containers will save you from finding a million dishes to serve it all up in! Source and tutorial

You could add these ice cream trucks as decorations or put an invite inside, or use as favor boxes... or all three! lol  DIY printables... Source

Use sprinkles in non-conventional ways to decorate! Use glue on card stock, kraft paper or empty toilet rolls, roll in sprinkles and let dry.  Add a ribbon and va-la! Use them around containers as a fun touch too! You could use sprinkles at the bottom of a vase or box (like you would rice or beans) to help cones stand up straight.  Source and tutorial found via gordongossip blog

You KNOW I love a fun cupcake! These would be a little sweat equity, but how dang cute!?!  Source

.... I am off to find the mint chocolate chip ice cream!!!
