If you don't mind the grumbles from the parents... a candy theme is always a great gender neutral party theme! You can pick a few colors to focus on or make it a rainbow of sugar!

Candy Party ideas/inspiration

Candy themes are always a good "go to" when you are not sure what to do... because what kid (or grownup) wouldn't love a room full of candy! What's your favorite candy? I'd have to go with reeces pieces yum!!!

Candy Party Theme (Part 1)

There are sooooo many candy theme ideas out there! I can't possibly share them on one post! Here are a few to wet your palate and stay tuned for another part at a later time!

Wrap EVERYTHING like a piece of candy! Just use cellophane (sold next to most gift wrap) and tie it off with ribbon or bands.  These round lanterns are now pieces of candy! You can do this with anything - use this shape or a lollipop as your points of inspiration.  Source

Here's an example of just taking simple round circle (you could even cover round cake boards for cheap!) and putting them on the wall - how cute is that!?! Source

Have gumball machines around for the kids to grab a quick handful of yummies! You could even do miniature ones for favors.  Have their name added on it for an extra touch! Source

I don't know about you, but I still love candy necklaces! How sweet does this candy necklace garland look!?!? You could use it in the air and hang different candies from it or wrap it around a container.  Also, what if you strung chocolate cheerios or fruit loops or the like to match your party theme!?!  Source

Color Theme: Multi-colored

First... let me share it's been a TERRIBLE day dealing with STUPID people... then I came home and found $80 in a pair of jeans I haven't worn forever, hello!?!? Way to turn the day around!! Decided to do a color theme post today - Multi-colors. These would be great ideas to incorporate into multiple different themes, or just as a color theme... enjoy! These chocolate curl topped cupcakes are SUPER easy to make! Melt colored chocolate wafers and pour it on wax paper to create a thin layer.  When dry take a metal spatula and push it against it and the chocolate will curl up! or try a peeler (have to melt chocolate into a "block" first) Ta-da!
